A week of events to celebrate Lauder Common Riding kicked off today in the rain with the apprentice ride out, where young riders can take ponies around a route over the Lauder Moor to ‘Follow the Cornet’ the young man chosen by the town to represent the Common Riding for this year.
Youngsters brave the wet weather today during the hideout event.
